Area Representative

International Student Exchange | Cincinnati, Ohio

Pan Atlantic Foundation | Part-Time Independent Contractor

Compensation: $1,000 per successful student placement | International Travel Opportunities Available

Position Summary

Pan Atlantic Foundation is seeking a community-minded Area Representative in the Cincinnati, Ohio area to help support international high school exchange students and the families who welcome them into their homes.

This position combines community outreach, relationship building, student support, and family recruitment . The successful candidate will serve as a local resource for exchange students, host families, and schools while working closely with the Pan Atlantic Foundation team.

The role offers considerable flexibility and is well suited for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to make a meaningful contribution in their community.

What You'll Be Responsible For

The Area Representative helps create a successful exchange experience from the initial host family conversation through the student's time in the United States.

Key activities include:

Host Family Development

• Identify and connect with families interested in hosting an international student.
• Explain program expectations and the host family experience.
• Conduct prospective host family interviews and assist with the approval process.
• Maintain positive relationships with participating families.

School & Community Outreach

• Establish relationships with local high schools and school personnel.
• Identify potential opportunities for international student placements.
• Introduce exchange opportunities to community organizations and local groups.
• Help students find ways to participate in school and community activities.

Student Support

• Welcome students when they arrive in the community.
• Maintain regular contact with students and host families.
• Complete required student supervision visits and check-ins.
• Provide guidance and serve as a local resource throughout the exchange year.
• Communicate student or family concerns to Pan Atlantic Foundation staff when additional support is needed.

Program Administration

• Complete required training and program documentation.
• Maintain timely communication with the Pan Atlantic Foundation team.
• Participate in occasional local activities or events involving exchange students and host families.

Pan Atlantic Foundation provides required program training and ongoing support.

Your responsibilities may vary throughout the year depending on student placements, host family recruitment, school calendars, and student needs.

You may spend time:

• Meeting with a prospective host family.
• Connecting with a local school.
• Following up with a student.
• Attending a community event.
• Completing administrative work from home.

The flexibility allows Area Representatives to work around other professional, family, or personal commitments.

Compensation & Additional Opportunities

$1,000 per successful student placement

This is a 1099 independent contractor position . Compensation is placement-based and does not include an hourly wage or salary.

Successful Area Representatives may also have opportunities to earn international travel experiences through their work with Pan Atlantic Foundation.

Cincinnati Area

The position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio , with responsibilities potentially extending into surrounding communities in the Greater Cincinnati area.

We are particularly interested in candidates who live in Cincinnati or nearby communities and have existing connections with local schools, families, community organizations, youth programs, or civic groups.

Knowledge of the local community is valuable, but an established network is not required .

Minimum Requirements

• Must be able to successfully complete required background screening.
• Must complete Pan Atlantic Foundation training.
• Must be comfortable working independently.
• Must have reliable communication and follow-through.
• Must be able to meet with students, families, and community contacts locally as needed.
