The qualified Tax Staff Accountant has at least 2 years of tax accounting experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. This role is based in our office in Monrovia, CA, and we have an in-office expectation of 5 days a week.The Tax Staff Accountant is responsible for:Sales/use tax complianceProperty tax complianceAssisting with making tax paymentsPreparing and review B & O monthly filings, Beverage and Meals Tax filings, and other miscellaneous filings.Preparing and submit monthly and quarterly census reportsPreparing month-end close workbooks and reconciliationsAssisting with new store setupPerforming research on various tax topics and communicate with tax department jurisdictionsWorking collaboratively with other departments.The Tax Staff Accountant has:Bachelor's degree or higher in AccountingCPA licensure and/or advanced degree in Tax or Accounting, a plus2-5 years of relevant accounting experienceSAP S/4 HANA experience is a plusExcellent written, verbal, communications, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focusAbility to prioritize, multitask, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, service-oriented environmentWe get a lot of resumes; so to help us get to know you better, please submit your resume and cover letter.
